All About Mrs. Noland

I started my career at Rutgers University where I graduated with honors with my BA in psychology. I worked in the field of psychology for 3 years when I turned back to my true passion, teaching. I worked as a case manager while attending Caldwell College where I received my post-baccalaureate teacher certification in elementary education. During this time, I was trained and worked as an ABA therapist with students with autism in the Chester School District. I have continued to work as an ABA therapist after school and during the summer for multiple companies in Northern New Jersey. After student teaching, I found my home here in South Plainfield in 2008 at Franklin School as a 4th grade teacher. I remained in 4th grade for two years then worked in 2nd grade for half a year. I joined the Roosevelt team in January 2011 as a computer and BSI math instructor. After earning my Masters in educational technology, I became the technology coach at Roosevelt. I felt a very warm welcoming from both the staff and the students from the very start. I'm happy to continue my teaching career as part of such an extraordinary team.

When I am not in school I keep my self very busy. I am very active and enjoy running, biking, and staying fit. My husband is a great motivator and workout partner. We love to do outdoor activities such as hiking, but also enjoy some good competition on our Kinect. We participate in many fundraising activities to show our support for various causes. Our favorite thing to do of all is spend time with our family, especially our daughter, Jolene!
